DIRTEA Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte Recipe

DIRTEA Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte Recipe

Summer's Best Colour Combination

This iced strawberry matcha latte recipe, created in collaboration with Nourishing Army, proves that the best combinations often come from unexpected places. The natural sweetness of strawberries tames matcha's sometimes intimidating earthiness, while the matcha adds depth that makes strawberries feel more sophisticated than they have any right to be.

This mushroom matcha latte recipe uses DIRTEA Matcha Super Blend to turn this colourful pairing into something functional. You get ceremonial-grade matcha plus 1,250mg each of Lion's Mane and Tremella mushroom extracts working behind the scenes.

Fresh strawberries provide natural sweetness and vitamin C, while the matcha delivers sustained energy without the crash. It's the rare drink that makes you feel virtuous and indulgent at the same time.

Ingredients

For the Strawberry Puree:

  • 200g fresh strawberries, trimmed weight
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

  • 4 scoops (6g each) DIRTEA Matcha Super Blend

What Makes This Matcha Latte Unique

The fruit's natural sugars complement matcha's complex flavour profile, whilst the functional mushrooms work quietly in the background supporting your brain and skin.

Ceremonial-Grade Matcha

The difference between good matcha and bad matcha is like the difference between fine wine and cooking wine. DIRTEA uses authentic Japanese ceremonial-grade matcha that's naturally sweet and smooth, not bitter and punishing. The L-theanine works with natural caffeine to create focused energy that lasts for hours.

Lion's Mane: The Brain Mushroom That Doesn't Taste Like Mushroom

Lion's Mane is a curious-looking mushroom that has been quietly supporting human brain function for centuries. Studies suggest it supports nerve growth factor production, and regular consumption may support memory, focus, and mental clarity, particularly when combined with matcha's sustained energy.

Tremella: The Beauty Mushroom

Tremella mushroom has been Chinese medicine's best-kept beauty secret for over 2,000 years. Empress Wu Zetian reportedly used it daily, and she ruled China for 45 years, looking fabulous the entire time. The polysaccharides in Tremella support skin hydration from within, making this latte a beauty treatment disguised as a delicious drink.

B Vitamin Complex

B vitamins support the functioning of the immune system, support normal brain function, and maintain healthy skin and nails. These work synergistically with the other ingredients for comprehensive wellness support.

Tips for the Perfect Strawberry Matcha Latte

Choose ripe strawberries. The sweetness of your strawberries will determine how much maple syrup you need. Perfectly ripe berries might need less sweetener.

Whisk your matcha properly. Creating a smooth paste first prevents clumping and ensures even distribution throughout the drink.

Layer with intention. Pour the matcha slowly over the back of a spoon to create distinct layers that look as good as they taste.

Use quality ice. Large ice cubes melt slower and won't dilute your carefully crafted flavours as quickly.

Serve immediately. The layered effect is most impressive when fresh, and the antioxidants are at their peak potency.

Making It Your Own

For Extra Protein: Add a scoop of vanilla protein powder to the strawberry puree for a more substantial drink.

For Different Fruits: Try this recipe with raspberries, peaches, or mixed berries for variety.

For Richer Texture: Use coconut milk instead of oat milk for extra creaminess.

For Less Sweetness: Reduce the maple syrup if your strawberries are particularly sweet.
